fyeahroleplayingrabbit: It’s getting real old but I have so few ideas myself that if I complain I just sound like an jerk. So I just sit down shut up and let my partner run the story…but lately it just annoys me to no end that it’s allll about their OC and mine are just going through the motions to please my partner. That’s like rping with a robot and I’m the robot. Sometimes it’s good to realize that you don’t have to roleplay with anyone. If you don’t enjoy roleplaying with someone, you don’t have to! It doesn’t make you a horrible person to just say that you’re not feeling like your stories go together very well anymore and that you’d like to either wrap the roleplays up or just drop it right there and then. Mentally abusing rp partners who guilt trip and manipulate you into staying in a rp is a whole different pile of shit to dig, but even then it’s good to know that nobody has the right to force you to roleplay. Roleplaying is supposed to be a hobby, it’s supposed to be fun, for both of you! So if your partner simply isn’t listening to your needs and is just using you as mental masturbation bucket, kick them to the curve! You don’t have to get along with everyone, and hell, life is short! Better for you both to find partners who suit you better than to suffer in a rp that just doesn’t work.

Sometimes it’s good to realize that you don’t have to roleplay with anyone.
